Hello my friends. Over the pass few weeks I have been in the process of learning who I am and seeking a sense of self. Many changes have taken place in my life and in my heart. My love for God is stronger than ever but I am just starting to know who I am. I have realized that there are things in my life that are broken and in need of repair. We all face problems with our hearts fractured relationships, weakening moral fiber, illness, death, finances, and religious disillusionment.
There have been times that I have wondered how we can repair the problems with our hearts. We need someone who can fix our broken places, straighten our prospective, and give us a reason to laugh again, and that's where our Redeemer comes in. God sent Jesus as our Redeemer to redeem our hearts. Once we acknowledge Jesus as our Redeemer the crushing blows of life do not destroy us. Instead, we see with our repaired eyes "the goodness of the Lord in the land of the living" (Psalm 27:13). Then we live with hope, we dance more often, and we love more deeply. I am learning that the discovery of self is not about who I am, it's about Whose I am.
I am learning that it's good to have friends to talk to, to laugh with and to share life with, but the most important thing any of us can do is to allow God to love through us. God's love can conquer any problem, ease any pain, and comfort in the darkest hours. The great thing about this is that it is so easy to achieve, it just requires us to have a little talk with Jesus.
May the Blessings of the Lord fall upon all those in need. May His love overflow in your lives, and may your burdens be lifted.
